The Best and Most Effective Way to Customize your Electric Enclosure

To date, silk screening is one of the most effective way of customizing an electrical enclosure. It is the easiest and the most affordable way. Any sides of the enclosure can be silkscreened as long as it is flat to avoid any deviance of the logo. Not only your logo can be silkscreened but also any labeling needs such as labeling operators (hand-off-auto, gas detection, emergency stop) and labels for externally installed devices. For companies that has a product line of enclosures and would like to have serial numbers on them silkscreen can be used for this process. Not only that it is cheap, effective, and beneficial – it can be done with any simple. color that you desire

However, it is important to note that silk screening done on metals has the possibility to be scratched or peel off because of the metal surface – such as stainless steel and aluminum. In order to make the silk screening permanent a clear powder coat should be applied after the silk screening process to make the labels and the markings permanent. Silk screening is a very simple process and can be done quickly and smoothly. Once the logo and the markings are sent to the manufacturing company that does the silk screening, it is ready to be processed. The paint used in making the labels are made sure to match the design. The process takes a very easy procedure. The screen is mounted on the frame of the design and the enclosure is placed on a fixture to hold it steadily – stability of both pieces should be ensured. Ink is now pushed through the screen through a rubber paddle. After which, the paint will be dried using an oven. If there is a need for multiple colors, separate screens should be used and it is done by layering the artwork. Proper fixturing of the silk screen can allow many colors to be used on the same surface of the enclosure.

Another option companies can choose is engraving. It is also one of the most common ways of customizing enclosures for companies. However it is more expensive than silk screening and it can take longer time to finish. But the results lasts longer than even permanent silk screening. This process involves scratching or removing the surface of the metal to match the design of the logo and labels to be put on. Usually, a small amount of metal amounting to .005” to .010” is removed by one of these two ways: mechanical via milling operation or chemically via etching process. The last step of the process would be filling the  removed area by epoxy paint to match the desired color for the design or enclosure.

Finally it is important to note to review the design, and submit it in a high resolution as possible. Simply state the logo sizing and color requirements in a .pdf or .eps format. The recommended  application to use is Adobe Illustrator. Also indicate the location of the labels on the enclosure.

Reasonable Quantities for Enclosure Products

Throughout my life, Christmas has been my favorite season of the year. I love to snuggle and wear oversized sweaters, curl myself in very furry blanket, and do a ton of shopping for gifts. This season, also the people are much nicer! Or is it because this is just the season of giving that’s why everyone is so nice?

One of my fondest Christmas memory is of my mom. After having a furious frenzy of opening my Christmas parents, the result is having a room full of shredded wrapping paper, torned cardboard boxes, and gifts that are all stacked & became as tall as I do. My mom just gazed around the room with a very frustrated look because of all the mess.

She just raised a finger and put it on the tip of her nose, then he pointed around the room. Carefully inspecting and reviewing the presents that I just opened. After a few minutes, she gasped, ran outside of the room and she came back with arms full of shopping bags. She suddenly shouted, “I forgot some presents!”

I was still a child when this happened and I do not remember why what kind of presents are those but I do remember her facial expression. She was really excited to give me those gifts. However, this year, we decided to limit our spending budget and just give more thoughts on what we should give to each other.

With this gift memory of mine, I reminded recently of the article I have read while doing some research about a company’s enclosure customization services. The article was all about how a company was proud to have an additional CNC machining and printing on the master list of their services in some reasonable quantities. It popped up a question in my mind, “what exactly is a reasonable quantity?”

During my childhood, my family decided to buy 4 gifts to each person. For me this is fairly reasonable given our family history and what we do during the previous Christmas seasons, but to other people or families this might be too excessive. Especially to people who don’t even consider Christmas as a reason for celebration.

With this in mind, there are enclosure manufacturing companies that offers no minimum order quantity for electronic enclosure. It depends on the user if they want just 1 piece or if they want 5000 pieces. Just send the company a quote of your enclosure design to determine the sepcification that you will need.

What Portable Server Racks Are Perfect to be Used for Extreme Conditions?

I believe this has already happened to majority of us: you have purchased a product that you really want for the longest time and you have been patiently waiting for it to arrive for days – or even weeks. When the product finally arrived it looks like a prop from the first few seconds of the show Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.

Even if it is very entertaining to watch (both in movies and in real life scenario) I am pretty confident that there can only be a handful of people who will truly appreciate seeing a product that was treated so poorly. Either by the delivery man or order fulfillment warehouse or anything that is uncontrollable in nature. These people are the responsible ones for holding out everything and stretching their smile very wickedly while they stretch their hands to readily accept your cash for the replacement of the product they are holding.

The majority of the technical savvy people are way so far behind trusting a $5 worth corrugated box to protect their product from unexpected damages – especially IT equipment products. And instead of utilizing a shock-absorbent rackmount shipping boxes when they are shipping out their servers, they just use other sensitive pieces of gear from one company to the other.

There are companies that are proud to say that they are the best distributor of a product used for shipment. They are at par with the military and commercial grade quality of cases. These cases also have the slide-out removable racks!

The rail system of these removable racks have their system slides right out, together with their file cabinet-style system. This mechanism allows you to have fuller and most complete access to your equipment inside the case. It also makes the installation and wiring of the equipment easy. These cases meet the best ATA specs for cases and they have very amazing Million Mile warranty. They also ship free just by using standard methods.

Also, you can check out some of the companies’ all-purpose transport cases as well. They are greatly utilized for some of the trade show displays and they can also be used for musicians’ gear and equipment – gear, laptops, and almost everything else.
